This site was considered the place to be—acting as a political, ritualistic, and civic epicenter, where members of various socio-economic groups could gravitate towards. Geographically, the Roman Forum was situated between the Capitoline and Palatine Hills, and the construction of the architecture within this forum was said to have started from the early Republican period (509-27 BCE).
